I did too much yesterday and had to dbl up on my pain meds, so today I defrosted Xmas dressing and green bean casserole to go with crockpotted chicken. Today vwas another lovely low humidity, sunny clear day in the mid 60s, good for dh's breathing.
Talked to my mom on the phone last night. She sounded doped up, but her faith keeps her going...
Wassup in your world?

Carlo, Yesterday was very cold and rainy in the morning. Charlotte and Ken a very sweet couple who have helped me so much for as long as I lived here in Tennessee, took me and Cathy - a friend of ours to Country Boy in Leipers Fork (popular little town ) for breakfast yesterday morning. It was a special treat and a thank you for our picking them up at their Kia Dealership last month (they were making a new car purchase and needed a ride back) anyway. That's how they are. You do them a little favor that isn't trouble at all and they pay you back when they owe you nothing. We got the Country Boy special, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuit with gravy . Glad I'm not into Weight Watchers anymore. What is going on with your mom? Is she in poor health. On prescription drugs that make you say she sounded doped lip? You are so right about faith. I see much of that here. People going through unbelievable testing - yet they keep the faith and their faith gets them through .

Nash--my mom is 90 years old. She has diabetes that developed in her late 70s, her hip replacements are wearing out and her lower spine is collapsing. Last fall she went on hospice care when kidneys started to fail. They stopped half or more of her meds and she started to improve! She is in constant pain, though and those meds make her sound dopey sometimes when I call...
Glad you enjoyed your restaurant excursion! Nice people!

So much to deal with for your mom and you, Carolo. I can't imagine how awful it would be to have constant pain with nothing to relief it. Sorry to hear that .
