On two feet. For a lengthy 1 minute and 30 seconds! Added to that I did three five second intervals of putting my weight from left side to right side, making that 1 minute and 45 seconds total. Although I am taking gabapentin for nerve pain, my foot feels like it has been sliced up by a thousand ginsu knives! I just took a Vicodin. I feel discouraged. Talk about baby steps😢
What are you all up to?

Testing. I just wrote a LONG reply and it wouldn't post . So frustrating . I want to see if this one goes through before I waste my time again.

Of course. The short one went through. My long one is lost. Frustrating.
Sorry to hear your recovery is a long, painful one. I hope the Vicodin helps.
As for what I was up to today. Pet Smart , Walgreens, and a visit from a friend to watch a Netflix DVD that came the other day - Cell. Based on a Stephen King novel. Not all that great. In fact, not good at all.

Ya know Nash, when I was gifted with Netflix I wanted to see Sully, but it was only available by mail. And plenty of the movies I did start watching were duds. I found that some of the TV series were better. Just finished Nurse Jackie. It was as good as Scandal.

Baby steps, Carol. Rome wasn't built in a day, they say. Nash, I collect King's books, and Cell was one of his worst, in my opinion. I really disliked it. That and The Dome. Ugh. Not much to report on from my corner of the world. I feel like I am on autopilot. I go to work, come home and stare at the TV, go to sleep, then go back to work. I have Spring Break coming up, and I need to do something fun. Problem is, I don't have a fun bone in my body, it seems.

Congratulations on standing. You'll get there but dealing with all the struggles isn't fun.
I've been dealing with dad getting a serious sinus infection. I'm glad I took him to the doctor early as I can't handle him when he's sick on top of the Alzheimer's. While he's been sick he took a couple nasty falls trying to get out of his chair but fortunately he hasn't been injured. As a result we bought a new chair for him. It's a recliner but also has a power lift function. It's taken a while for him to figure out the buttons.
I've been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and I'm trying to manage it without medications at this point. So far so good. However, I am really struggling to get things done around the house. Laundry has been the bane of my existence. I'm also trying to work things up to try to get a new job. I've realized that when something happens to dad I'm pretty well screwed as far as having a roof over my head and can't survive on my current income.
On the plus side, Mocha continues to be my little love bug, my bellydance classes are the highlight of my week, and I am actually getting a handle on my weight during all of the craziness.
