A double lung transplant on the 25th of last month! As he progressed, he moved thru critical care to ICU and then to a department for transplants only. He is up and walking,(800'), talking on the phone and is having relatively smooth sailing. I must voice a special compliment to the nurses who work so very hard(VERY hard) on these cases. I will probably be MIA on and off here cuz of this.
New month. Weather has been unseasonably warm for months now here. Nice. What's up in your world?

Oh my goodness Carlo! I was not expecting this. But very good news! I'm praying for your dear husbands recovery. That all goes very smoothly.
I hope you can find a few minutes here and there to keep your pollie pals up to date.
Lots of rain here lately and my usual animal duties. Baby goats born at the farm and cat sitting for friends.

Hi, friends!
Carol, that is such great news! Please give DH some Pollie love. How are YOU doing?
Nash, are you still sleeping over at your friend's house? I don't sleep well in any bed except my own. And THAT isn't always a given.
Not much to report from here. I am counting down the days until summer vacation, and trying to think of what I want to do this year. Every summer, I just stay home. I want to have something to talk about when school starts up again. I have a WW buddy in San Diego. We have never met, but we are very close. She just sent me the most beautiful flowers for my birthday. We have toyed with the idea of meeting somewhere in the middle of the country one day. Maybe this summer, we'll finally do it.

Jeanette, The 5 cat family where I was spending the night is over. That was last week . The family came home a week ago Saturday. Surprisingly, I never have a problem sleeping any where else. It's just weird when I wake up the following morning and have to think about where I am .
This weekend, I'm just checking on a neighbors cat why she and her husband are away. I only have to feed him. Not stay overnight . Yay!
I think that's a great idea to meet your cyber WW friend. When I was a meeting going , true blue WW member back in Michigan YEARS ago.....I met several people on the WW boards who lived in my area, one who actually attended my meeting - which we didn't discover until talking on the boards. It was so cool! So I met 3 different individuals who I only know from the boards at first.

Nash, I have met several online WW buddies over the years. One of them also went to my meeting, and I didn't know until we "came out" to each other. Small world, isn't it?

Jeanette, I almost forgot about a couple of other WW on-line message board members that I met. So three were from my area in Michigan.
But there was one , her name was Carole , and she was very involved in all the battles that went on the boards. It was one group against the other - she was on my team . (Fitness Challenge Board - it was worse that the GDT in it's day) Anyway. She lived in Virginia but had in-laws in Michigan near my brothers house and when she and her husband came out to visit the in-laws we planned to meet. I drove to her in-laws place to pick her up and take her to lunch where we met up with my WW leader (who was very popular as a leader in my area )
Anyway. I remember how worried she said her husband was. He told her she shouldn't be going off in a car with a strange lady she only knew from the internet. LOL! I guess he was watching too many crime shows.
Then after I moved to Tennessee, there was a lady on the WW messages boards whose name was Birdie. She mentioned that she was a waitress at the Cracker Barrel around the block from me. So I went to Cracker Barrel and met Birdie.

That is fantastic news Carolo. So glad he's doing well.
Around here I'm working on my resume (as usual) and trying to get a full time job. Things with dad remain the same although he's gradually becoming more restless. Some days I'm really having a hard time keeping it together. It's not as easy now that my sister lives 30 miles away instead of 3 miles away.
I think I ticked off one of my bosses last week when I told her I won't be able to work the Thursday night worship service anymore. Dad does ok for a couple hours on his own but not after about 7:00. My sister has been coming and spending Thursday evenings with him but her job is going to make that difficult. She works for the state division of labor and employment on the computer systems for people receiving unemployment checks. They are completely redoing the system and will be doing their pushes (putting the program into a live state) on Thursday nights and it has to be done after business hours. They chose Thursday because it's the slowest day of the week for claims traffic and it allows them to fix glitches before the heavy website traffic they get on the weekends. So she won't be able to come on Thursdays. I could hire someone to sit with him for a couple hours but caregivers cost twice what I make in an hour if not more so it's not financially realistic even though he's technically the person paying for it.
Of course, to a certain degree I'm being blown off by her as usual. I spoke to her briefly and told her that I needed to sit down with her and discuss. She gave me two days that work for her (Tuesday and Wednesday) but only Tuesday works for me. I haven't heard a peep back which means she'll try to push something last minute. I'm tired of dropping things for them and not getting any consideration in return.
Ok, rant over. Sorry to hijack the thread. My bad.

Rant anytime Kristen. This is a good place to air out your frustrations. I hope things turn around for you soon.
Hows the kitty?
