We celebrated T-day last weekend with the folks who rescued us when DH had his transplant. Such lovely people!
We closed-finally!-- on our small RV park last Friday. The bank sure put us thru some hoops and it took us a long time to clear them. Now we have a million things to accomplish and the holidays are in the middle of it all...
I have the McDonald's Chicago Thanksgiving Day parade on--who knew?
We have a lot to be grateful for this year! Been a tough one, but we are both doing better than a year ago...
Wishing you all a good holiday. Pls catch me up on your days...

Happy Thanksgiving Carolo and Jeannette Sounds like you had a special, TG last week with some important folks in your life, Carolo. I'm glad things are moving along with the R.V. park. I have the Macy Parade on because I just saw Smokey Robinson post on Facebook that he'll be in it. But with all the commercials, I'm wondering if I missed him.. So far I haven't seen him at all . I miss the 60's and the J.L Hudson Thanksgiving Day Parades we had in downtown Detroit. A young Smokey was a part of those. He still looks and sounds great. Anyway. I'm going to my friend who has the farm . It's a small gathering. Just her parents, her son and husband. I'm heading out there at noon and plan on leaving there no later than 4:00. It gets dark here by 4:30 - 5:00 and I don't like driving in the dark.

I did chores, we went to the gym, had a modest dinner at home today. Watched the Macy's parade at the gym while on the treadmill right when the Rockettes were on☺ Tired and full of food right now.

Hi, Pollies. Happy Day After! My Thanksgiving was spent doing chores, exercising, watching TV, and eating. Oh, and listening to someone's smoke detector that has been going off since yesterday afternoon. It is STILL going off. There is no smoke in the hallway, so I guess it is just faulty. I wish the batteries would hurry up and die, or that they would come back home. I hope they aren't away for an extended period of time.
I watched the Macy's Parade, too. It didn't do it for me this year.

LOL!, Jeanette on the smoke detector. I just had a smoke detector disaster yesterday. I like my toast crisp and half burnt. Well my toaster set off a puff of smoke in the air - my Chicago Italian bread got a bet too toasted (burnt to a crisp) and set off two of my smoke detectors . They didn't stop beeping until the smoke disappeared . I was going for a ladder to get up there and pull the batteries if I had to .
I set my toaster very low this morning.

So, today is Sunday and I needed to get groceries. I tried not to shop this weekend-too crowded. We presupposed to move this week, after sitting in one place nearly two years! Some kind of record for us. DHs jobs always kept us on the move...
luvn--hope the smoke detector thing was resolved before nighttime. That would really wear on my nerves. In re the Macy's parade, I think I am simply trying to hold onto a few traditions. Seems like things are changing too fast for me.
Nash--did your toast get done properly on low?
Have a good week y'all!

Nope. Carolo . I would have liked my toast a bit darker but not worth the risk of upsetting my smoke alarm .
I hope y'all had a good weekend . I'm a little late for the party here.

The smoke detector went on and on all day Thursday, all night, and into Friday afternoon when they returned home.
Nash, on behalf of your neighbors, thank you for not upsetting the smoke detector.
