Hello pollies. Had a crazy busy July here. And DH is having complications which necessitates many MD visits, making things harder. We found a great gal willing to help us. But business fell off some cuz of the near 100° heat. Friends are coming to visit this weekend. I hope it will lighten the mood here. It is somewhat depressing to work hard for no enjoyment or return.
Jeanette--I do get to rate my guests. But it is a blind thing. I do not see their rating of me before I rate them.
Nash--I always found working around animals calming. However, since my knee surgeries, I am fearful of getting injured.
Have a good week! CarolO

Hi Carolo, This is the week my friend and her family took off on a 9 day vacation in Colorado. A well deserved break for her. But much work for me on her farm. She trained three other people on the farm duties which is working out better than I thought. She has two people do the evening chores which includes milking "Little Jeannie" the one goat that needs milking. The night team gathers all the chickens eggs, puts the goats in their designated pens and they are responsible for taking Giselle (the crippled goat, and my BGF (best goat friend) out of her wheel chair. In the morning me and Tracy (a faithful friend ) feed all the chickens, ducks, goats, donkey , the dogs (there's 3) and one cat. We check all the water for all of the critters. Put Giselle in her wheels. Make sure everyone is in their designated area. I can't believe how fast this summer is going by. Almost over. I'm not ready for fall and certainly not looking forward to winter . I hope you got to enjoy your company.

Hi Nash. Unlike you I cannot wait for the weather to cool a bit. We have been near 100° since July and it is getting old already. Sounds like your friend has her bases covered with all of you to help! She is lucky to have a friend in you.
