Hi folks! Glad to see you both posted last weeks thread. I am chugging along at work. It is getting more difficult-the patient is up and down a lot. I had a productive day today and am so very tired and cannot get enthused about the upcoming holidays. Again. Perhaps I will never feel normal again.
Wont talk at you during the week so have a happy Thanksgiving and don't eat as much as I will😁

Hi Carolo, This Thanksgiving I was invited to join my friend Pauline at her daughters husbands sisters home . ( complicated, I know.) Even more complicated, this lady is married to a man from Michigan. They married January 2020 before all the covid crap began. Anyway, the woman has one adult son, her husband died several years ago from cancer. The guy she married lost his wife (who I also knew) a couple of years ago to cancer as well. So they are having a second chance at love and happiness. I really am happy for them. Their adult children , his from Michigan, and her son from Chicago came down for Thanksgiving. Her son is a fabulous cook and made just about all the entree's. I thought I ate modestly, but my scale thought otherwise when I checked it this morning. At least my cat Jelli remained the same. Holding the same 10 pounds since the last time she weighed in April . It was raining all day yesterday . But the sun is out today. However the temperatures really dropped. I'm staying in all day. No need to go out. I don't do Black Friday . How did the rest of your week go? I wonder what the teacher did for Thanksgiving. Hope to hear from y'all soon.

Waving hi from a very chilly NYC!🥶 My mom, my sister, and my cousin went to my son’s home for Thanksgiving. I was very happy to not have any dishes to wash. I offered to help, but they have a dishwasher. I did help to put the leftovers into containers to store in the fridge for lunches and dinners during the week. Didn’t bring any food home, so no leftovers here to call my name.
Nash, I give you lots of credit for going near the scale!
Carol, I hope some joy finds you this holiday season. I know things will never be the same, though.

Good to hear from you Luvin Smart to leave the food at your sons. I took home left overs from where I went. Hard to resist when the hostess offered with lots of carry home boxes. But the left overs are all gone now.
Hope you and Carolo drop in next month for Christmas or sooner.

Hi Luvn, Those Thanksgiving left overs that I took home included turkey, dressing, pumpkin pie with whipped cream (that melted before I got home) and a big chunk of the sweet potato crumble dessert some one made.
