School starts in two days and to be honest I don't really know if I still have a job. Why? We have a new boss and she hasn't said more than 1 or 2 sentences to me since she started. I've reached out to her several times about touching base for a schedule, expectations, etc and heard nothing but crickets. I understand that the preschool is her main priority but she should be able to give me 5-10 minutes of her time to discuss the before/after school program. I love the job, the kids and parents are amazing, but I am seriously starting to hate the people I work for.
I sent her another email this morning requesting a meeting or at the very least a phone call and so far have heard nothing. I had other plans for today but I'm spending it job hunting instead.
What is the worst experience you've had communicating with a boss?

Mine was with the boss's wife. They were both from India and she had a heavier accent than he did. So it was really hard trying to understand her at first. She was the "office manager".

Great, Kristen! Finally. I hope you get everything resolved. Let us know how it turned out. And by the way. Where have you been? I was getting ready to put MISSING posters out .

Thanks. I got a whopping 10 minutes of her time and was basically told that she just planned on giving me the same schedule as last year. They are back to playing stupid games so I'm done playing. I'm going to change the rules and start looking at other jobs. I love what I do but I can do it somewhere else.
As for where I've been, my cousin passed away recently and Dad and I took some time to go up to Vail where she lived and spend some time with family.

Kristen, I am very sorry for your loss, and for the unfortunate job situation. My boss is like that sometimes, too. I will send her several texts and emails before I get a reply. Hang in there.
