What do you do to save money?
I buy non edibles at the dollar only type stores.
We stopped eating out so often, and try to do the $5 meal deals.
Coupons.
Not traveling.

Buy generic food brands like Great Value
Buy meats when they go on sale.
Cook and eat more at home.
Try not to impulse buy item I really don't need.
Save all my coins in a coin bank (they really do add up).
Try to run a bunch of errands in one trip.

I Live mostly on Michelina's frozen entrees. I LOVE them anyway - and they are never more than $1.00 at Kroger or Walmart. Sometimes Kroger has them on sale for 88 cents. That's when I stock up and get one of every kind. Most of what I buy for food is very cheap.
Because I volunteer on Monday & Wednesday morning to help bag the free bakery items our church gets from Panera and Publix - I get to take whatever I want . And I get all of my bread items (bagels, breads of all kind) and bakery items (cookies, pies , cakes - you name it. ) FREE. I take advantage of that. All that stuff freezes well.
Because I prefer to eat for stomach hunger not head hunger, I rarely eat out. If friends want to go to a restaurant after our Saturday morning church service for example, I'll just have a beverage and eat when I get home. Why spend money on restaurant food that is way over priced and too large in portions -what a waste. I'd rather eat when I get home and save the money.
My friends and I go to the movies on Tuesdays - it's bargain day ALL day on Tuesday . $5.56. Can't beat that.
I don't like to travel - so that in itself is a big savings.
My 2006 Saturn ION is paid for. I have had no problems with the car and intend to hang onto it forever as long as it's running great. THAT is a huge savings .
I HATE to clothes shop. So I save tons of money there. My weight has been the same for years. SO everything that fit 10 years ago, fits today. I don't care if I'm not up with the latest style. I'm not even sure what the latest style is.
I get free eggs from my chicken friends at the farm .
