Nope. No where near.
But I heard the guy on the radio talk show say that the Florida Governor was wrong to give out those life threatening warnings. Because the level of this recent storm was not unusual and the people there know that. Thus, so many refused to leave.
So the next time a warning like that is given and the situation is truly severe - people will not leave . Because the governor called wolf this time. Sad. One person had a heart attack and died. No medical emergency staff left behind to transport them. An unnecessary death. Their family should sue.

I cannot understand why so many folks ride out a storm. hen the power goes out, life is miserable.

Carolo, I think a lot of those folks want to protect their property. Especially if they know from years of living in those areas, how to truly recognize a life threatening situation.
Being without power for a few hours is not that big of a deal.
