Another week gone by! Our cabin/barndominium is getting close to done. Flooring went in on Friday, tho there are plenty of small things left to do. It has been a challenge to cook for te guys working--that makes four of us and I have been cooking for two for a long time now. Plus, I don't know them so what to make? I need a haircut still. We haven't gone to church since moving here. DHs meds deductible is hurting our budget. I'd like to read something besides cheapie free romances. We miss the horses that were at our last RV park. It is pouring rain-AGAIN😣 And of course, I am tired.
Enough of my random thoughts. What are y'all up to?

Right now I am sitting in the home of the family who have 5 indoor/outdoor cats. The family took a short weekend trip to Gatlnberg and asked me to Cat sit. It’s raining here too. Rained all day yesterday and it’s still raining lightly this morning. These cats go in and out and in and out all day and night. Even in the rain. There are no litter boxes in the house. I’ll see if I can get some pictures of them to take.its always a challenge posting pics on this site. I played hooky from church myself yesterday. But our church webcast their services so I can be there when I’m not there. I would miss seeing beautiful horses too, Carolo.

I think I would be afraid to be around horses. They are so big! It is pouring rain here. At least it isn't snow. Some nasty germs have taken hold of my respiratory system, and I have been in bed all weekend. Sleep, Vap-o-rub, and hot tea are my new best friends.
Carol, I hope you can get back to a normal routine soon. Make chili, stew, lasagna, or something else that goes a long way. Can you get books to read online?
Nash, you're a saint! You're always there to pet-sit for your friends.

I want you both to know that I can actually spell thread, if not type it😊
Nash--I love that your world is populated with animals. I miss having a pet. Your friends and neighbors are lucky you are around! Looking forward to those photos!
Jeanette--where have you been? Sorry you are ill--so many folks are it is scary. As to reading--I have been getting freebies from bookbub, and they are fairly awful. Romances, some with mommy porn in them-ugh. I did recently get one called Squall by Costello that was short, but not too bad. About a family man who crashes his plane and becomes involved with someone unsavory as a result. I truly do not have time for a serious read, though. We are busy...

I had 9 kids out sick today. One teacher on our grade has the flu, but came in so she wouldn't get into trouble for being out the day before our vacation. They sent her home. Another teacher just came back from having her flu turn to pneumonia. I left work early on Monday to see my doctor. She took a throat culture and ordered a chest X-Ray. No flu, pneumonia or strep! She said I have bronchitis. It's mid-winter recess. I plan on spending as much time recovering in bed as possible.

Jeanette, Lucky you. Mild bronchitis is the less of the other evils you could have had. The flu is rampant in my area. Our church cancelled all their activities last week because of it. We are just now getting back to normal fellowships. Some kids and adults, however are still staying home.

Wow, I did not know that goats(or other animals) required so much assistance birthing. Or needed help caring for their young! Sounds like you will be busy for some time.
We have been fortunate to find a reasonable bookkeeping place to take care of our taxes and such. $400 dollars sound like a lot but is pretty OK for today's rates...

Carolo, Me and my friend Cathy made appointments at our local Senior Center to have our taxes done free. We went this past Thursday. The service is provided by AARP. I will be doing this every year. Sure beats the $400 charge I would have had to have paid my CPA this year.
