Sorry for late reply. DH has been getting an assortment of medical tests to see if he will qualify as a lung transplant patient. It is quite a process. We met with the surgeon this week, who said that because DH has no other disease than COPD and no other complications he will recommend him. Then the team meets to see if they will approve him for this. Then the insurance has to approve him. Then we have to figure out how to finance it--we are on social security, after all. Theanti rejection meds are scary expensive....He could be on a waiting list for years!
I cannot sleep at night thinking about it. And then I am tired during the day...
