Hey there. Had an office meeting yesterday so my Saturday was mostly interrupted. Managed to get laundry done and cleaned the basics, tho. Groceries today and a long talk on the phone with an old friend today. Yes my life is totally dull with Ed gone. I still decorated my room with most of the stuff we both used in the past but it feels less cheerful. I have roommates and don't wish to seem totally abnormal so I keep doing it. Anothe few weeks and the Xmas thing will have passed-thank goodness. 😕. Got my booster shot and now I'm hearing about shot number four😣. Still free tho so I'm good with it.

Not much going on over here. I put up the tree with lights and garland. Not doing ornaments this year.
Today was laundry day. Didn’t get around to groceries. Maybe tomorrow.
How did you feel after the booster shot? Two teachers had bad reactions and had to stay home the next day. I don’t see the point in getting a booster if the new variant still breaks through.

Hi guys, Every year I look for a Brother /Sister-in-law Christmas card with just the right words. The one I found this year I'm pretty sure I sent my brother last year. But I wasn't 100% sure and couldn't find anything else I liked. So I sent it. My brother called a week ago telling me how much he liked the card and that he was a little late in sending mine. He said he feared the one he got me was the same as the one he sent last year. Now he didn't remember my last years card. I didn't remember his last years card. And honestly. If you don't save them from year to year. Who can remember at our age?  So his card came yesterday . In it he wrote that he decided not to send the sister card he bought ( because he just knew it was the same one. I hadn't a clue) so he sent this religious one instead. Not a sister card . I searched all my messy drawers looking for his last year card and I found it. So darn cute! And special words. Honestly, I would not have looked for it if he hadn't mentioned it and I would not have remembered it was the exact same card if I got it again. I think my brother recalls the days my mom would hang up all the cards she got every Christmas season. And if someone sent her a duplicate the following year she would hang that one up right next to the twin card to embarrass the sender. So silly. Who cares?  |

Nash, I hang up my cards, too. It’s funny that you posted about sending/receiving duplicates. I’d swear my sister sent me this year’s card a year or two ago. I am not going looking for the old one, though.
