Hi Pollies. What a week! Was removed from my job assignment on Monday. Then the company sent me on a 4 hour afternoon job. Easy so far. Then added a two hour job right after the first. Not so easy. So I get home around 9pm instead of 11, and lose two hours pay a day times five each week, thereby wiping out the raise I recd in beginning of Jan. 😣. My own fault cuz I did what I thought was right instead of what my boss wanted me to do. Oh, well. Now I need to start over looking for a job. Sigh. And I was busy getting dental work done and my yearly TB testing for the state. Wish me luck, pls.
Nash, so sorry to read about Ken. And right after the animal farm stuff😪. You're right it doth suck to get old! Sounds like you are standing strong though...

Getting old sucks, but for now, it beats the alternative.
Carol, that is ridiculous about your job. Can’t believe you got written up for a bonus and then moved around like a chess piece.

Nothing newsworthy to report from NYC. I need some joy in my life. Just for the record, it has not been in the boxes of Girl Scout cookies that I have scarfed down in the last few days.

Carolo, Sorry to hear about your job .  But perhaps there's something better coming soon. I hope. Luv, Where are those girl scouts? I'll have to go online and see when they'll be at my local mall . I think my favorite are the peanut butter sandwich cookies. They freeze well and I like that there are only so many to a box. Less than you get when you buy cookies from the store. Less is safer. They had a book sale at my local library. I have a hard time finding something that grabs my interest, as I don't really like to read. It's too boring. But after not finding what I hoped would be in the fiction aisle, I went to the biographies . And picked up "Hungry After All These Years" by Richard Simmons. Hard cover book. Originally sold for $23.95 , was only $3.00. In perfect condition too. Simmons really tells an interesting story. Well written, lots of humor. I always did like him . FREEZING cold in Tennessee this weekend. Spring can't come fast enough. |
